A native of Venezuela, Ailén is fluent in Spanish, English, Dutch and Papiamentu, and is also proficient in French. Now based in Argentina, she is currently in her second year studying Architecture at the University of Buenos Aires, where she continues to develop her analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.

Ailén is known for her strong communication abilities and her natural capacity to motivate and inspire others. She creates a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to think independently, ask questions, and build confidence in their abilities. Her approach focuses not only on improving technical skill but also on helping students develop focus, discipline, and strategic thinking.

A Woman FIDE Master, Ailén has made a meaningful impact in the chess world through both competition and education. She brings a deep understanding of the game, combined with a thoughtful and patient teaching style that meets each student where they are. Whether working with beginners or more advanced players, she adapts her instruction to each individual’s learning style and goals.

In addition to her teaching, Ailén is an avid Twitch streamer, where she creates accessible and engaging tutorials that help a wider audience learn and enjoy chess. Her content reflects her passion for making chess approachable, interactive, and relevant for today’s learners.

Ailén has also completed a Public Speaking course through Toastmasters, further strengthening her ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and confidently. She describes herself as “an analytical thinking person with a lot of empathy,” a balance that defines both her teaching and her approach to working with students.
