Alise Wang is a cybersecurity leader at CGI, where she oversees cyber operations teams across Canada and leads critical cyber defence initiatives to protect organisations against evolving digital threats. With a strong focus on both strategy and execution, she plays a key role in safeguarding systems, data, and infrastructure in an increasingly complex security landscape.

Alise holds a BASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ottawa and has built her career at the intersection of technology, communication, and problem-solving. Her multidisciplinary background allows her to approach cybersecurity with both technical precision and a clear, practical mindset, making complex concepts more accessible to a wide range of audiences.

In addition to her professional work, Alise is deeply committed to education and mentorship. She teaches at STEM the Gap Academy, where she inspires young girls to explore opportunities in STEM and supports them in building confidence in fields where they are often underrepresented. Her teaching approach focuses on clarity, encouragement, and helping students see themselves as capable and confident problem solvers.

Alise is also a strong advocate for making cybersecurity understandable and relevant for everyday life. She works to demystify digital safety by translating technical knowledge into practical guidance that parents and youth can apply in real-world situations. Through her work, she empowers families with the tools and awareness needed to navigate and protect themselves in an increasingly digital world.

Driven by a commitment to inclusion and impact, Alise continues to champion diversity in technology while helping to shape a more informed, confident, and secure next generation.
